A Great Year

Blackbirds

Well… After several irritating issues with my blog and then some computer glitches culminating in it fully crashing RIGHT before the holidays, I am up and running again.

Huge apologies to all my dear readers out there… It must have been seriously annoying to keep checking back to nothing.  What it’s taught me is to face my “computer fears”.  Sometimes not dealing with unpleasant things can cost you more energy in the end… I should have dealt with my computer issue months ago, but alas, I am a terrible procrastinator when it comes to all things technical.  Even not-so-technical things, such as “mechanical” things.  The other night the 3-hole punch spilled confetti all over the floor and I thought:  “Oh yeah.  It doesn’t just disappear when you cut holes.  Once in awhile you have to empty it.”  Duh.

Christmas was wonderful.  I went for lots of long walks and out for tea and read a perfect book and went sledding with my girls.  Then I left town for 2 whole days and stayed at a Monastery where I basked in the gorgeous silence of the facility and went for more long walks in the forest.

I am officially filled up for the new year.

So, the buzz of the dawning of the new year is done, and real life has kicked in again.  The quaintness of New Years Resolutions has faded, so now, let me ask you this:

Fill in the blank:

A great year would mean…

*This is your chance to include all the details of how you want the year to go.  Would a great year mean more tea, more long walks, more time with friends, a certain project done, something started, a new skill learned?  List everything you can think of.

After you do that, make a list of some small ways you can accomplish those goals.  Ie:  Visit a tea shop for new and interesting tea products, block off time 5 days a week where you head out for that walk, plan a once-a-month get together with your girlfriends, brainstorm about how to progress with your project and set a possible finish date (to be changed if necessary), sign up for a pottery class.
